I suppose the best thing to do would be to ask yourself, are you willing to participate in something like this for the sake of your partner. After all, every relationship is give and take, and even if something does not appeal to you personally, can you put up with it for the sake of your partner?
The reason to approach it this way is to ask yourself, is there something that you might want him to do that he wouldn't be interested in down the line?
Then of course there's the fact that you might learn something about yourself, and find something new that you like to do and might never have discovered if you weren't willing to be adventurous.
